School of Farming and Homesteading

Our School of Farming and Homesteading grew out of the many requests from aspiring and up-and-coming small farm families but also from the desire to help beginning farmers sidestep the pitfalls that lead to discouragement.  With 13 years of farming/homesteading experience on 4 farms ranging from 7 to 400 acres, we feel equipped to assist others in their quest to cultivate a successful and enjoyable agrarian lifestyle.

Our goal is to provide hands-on training in half day, one, two and three day courses for the hopeful or struggling small farmer, the hobby farmer jaded by a dwindling bank account, or the plain ole suburbanite-gone-country. Our courses are designed by the student to maximize their resources and to ensure that the skills learned can be utilized.  Couples are welcome and discounts are available for husband/wife students.

Our Farming/Homesteading courses provide a comprehensive series of hands-on classes that offers essential information, demonstration, instruction and practical application designed for the family or individual that desires to begin a homestead.
